Since the 1990s, local residents have been serving on the C/CAG Bicycle Advisory Committee. In the early, 2000s the committee was renamed the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee, reflecting a broadened interest in walking and other active modes of transportation.
The Committee was instrumental in developing the 2010 Bicycle Transportation map, which was re-printed in 2015 and is available on-line. The Committee was centrally involved in development of the County-wide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan, published in 2011.
