San Mateo County Lifeline Transportation Program Cycle 5

The City/County Association Governments (C/CAG) is pleased to announce the call for projects for the San Mateo County Lifeline Transportation Program (LTP).  This program is designed to help low-income residents by funding transportation projects that will improve their mobility within the community.  Public agencies including transit agencies, city/county social service agencies, cities, counties, and non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply.

Applications are due to C/CAG no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2017

An applicant’s workshop will be open to all entities interested in applying for funding on Thursday February 15, 2018 at San Mateo County Transit District, 1250 San Carlos Avenue, 2nd Floor Auditorium, San Carlos. Please RSVP for the workshop here.

San Mateo County Energy Watch Municipal Energy Efficiency Call for Projects

The San Mateo County Energy Watch (SMCEW) Municipal Energy Efficiency Call for Projects was released on October 20, 2017 and is intended to support local governments (cities, towns, and the County) in San Mateo County in the identification and implementation of energy efficiency projects at their facilities. Applications are due by December 15, 2017. The SMCEW team is available to support agencies throughout a comprehensive energy recommendation process and/or direct install implementation. The Funding Guidelines and Application are linked below.

Safe Routes to School and Green Streets Infrastructure Pilot Program Call for Projects

The Safe Routes to School and Green Streets Infrastructure Pilot Program Call for Projects was released on July 18, 2017. Project submissions are due by noon on October 20, 2017. Below are the Safe Routes to School and Green Streets Infrastructure Pilot Program Call for Projects and Funding Guidelines, Project Application, Score Sheet, and Estimated Cost Breakdown Table, along with additional resources to assist municipalities in developing proposals.

Safe Routes to School Infrastructure Improvements Identified in Walk Audits – this list of potential projects identified in the Bike/Walk Audits performed by schools as part of the Safe Routes to Schools Program was incorporated into the San Mateo Countywide Stormwater Resource Plan as potential locations for stormwater management
San Mateo County Pedestrian and Bicycle Design Resource Guide – Chapters 4 and 5 of this resource guide provide pedestrian and bicycle design guidelines for a variety of pedestrian and bicycle facilities and design-related best practices

San Mateo County Shuttle Program FY18/19 & FY19/20 – Call for Projects

The City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo County (C/CAG) and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority (TA) have released a Call for Projects (CFP) for the San Mateo County Shuttle Program, with up to $10M available in funds over the next two fiscal years.

The San Mateo County Shuttle Program is intended to fund new local shuttle services, augment existing services, or continue projects previously funded under the Congestion Relief Plan and/or the Measure A Sales Tax Local Shuttle program. Shuttles must be open to the general public, and must contribute to the overall goal to reduce commute corridor congestion, make regional connections, enhance safety and meet local mobility needs.
Applications are due by February 9, 2018. The Funding Guidelines and Application are linked below.
