National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System TAC

The National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Stormwater Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) is primarily an information sharing and education committee consisting of representatives from each of C/CAG’s member agencies.  These representatives are typically staff that actually implement the requirements of the Municipal Regional Permit (MRP) issued by the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board.  The NPDES TAC supports and receives feedback from the Stormwater Committee on implementation issues related compliance under the MRP. In its supporting capacity to the Stormwater Committee, the NPDES TAC coordinates directly with C/CAG staff and receives regular emails with updates on compliance issues. There are no designated members for each agency or formal process for membership.

The Committee has met quarterly, depending on need, on the third Tuesday of the months of January, April, July, and October.
